I like how real the story feels. I’m really curious how to his will end. I’ve been rooting for Parker since he beginning but Felix seems like such a sweet guy. At least up until he end of book 2, not sure if he’s trying to do what she best for himself or for Deirdre.
I was pleasantly surprised by the first book in this series and I was quick to buy the second.
These are erotica books with substance - the characters are more than cardboard cut outs moving awkwardly to the tune of an erotica book recipe. There is thoughtfulness and heart and a mixture of sexual experiences. I enjoy the storyline as there is always some jeopardy and real to life drama. The writing is excellent and the book is well edited and crafted unlike many erotica titles.
If you enjoy erotica, care about the characters and like to be left wanting more...buy this book.
Are you kidding me?? These books are so short!! I guess that's why they don't have chapters. All these short books can be combined into 1 book. Not interesting enough to purchase each book for $3.00....not doing it again!!
to read it!!!!!.Good read! Finally something that has you on the edge of your seat. This makes you want to know what happened. Very well put together. I don't know who I want Dee to be with. It's really tuff. Felix is responsible and he keeps his word. Parker on the other hand you can tell that he cares for Dee but can trust him? Next one here I come!!!
I loved this story! Shyla managed to create a love triangle that makes you care about and hope for both men to find a way to win the affections of the female.
Deidre is faced with earning a livng and taking care of her young brother due to circumstances out of her control. In her quest to meet her financial obligations, she takes various jobs of honorable repute. When someone is careless, a by-product of one her jobs causes her love interest Parker to make a drastic decision by himself that affects both of them.
Deidra manages to get past this and even has a redemptive relationship with her newest beau, Felix. He is kind and everything she and her little brother could ask for. But is her heart as smart?
I love how each of the characters are presented and are starting to develop complexities, which is rare in a book read of this length.
Note this is part of a series and therefore the story does not end at the end of this book. It is a great start to a promising series. Well done Shlya Starr!
This is a great follow up to book 1. True love is being put to the test in this one.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this second book. It picks up where the first book left off so that's a plus in my opinion. Deirdre finds herself in a love triangle with Felix and Parker who are both trying to win her heart. I liked the development of the characters and the way the story progresses. Deirdre must decide the direction her life is going for herself and her brother. Does she stay with Felix who seems to be reliable, or can she forgive Parker and give him a second chance. A great book and I am looking forward to reading the next one.
